Dog walking and pet sitting jobs LCPS is looking for independent representatives to serve as dog walkers and pet sitters. Our hiring structure is geared for people who are seeking to supplement their existing income with part-time work; please do not apply if you are looking for this as a full-time occupation. It can be a great supplemental income for the right person (we prefer veterinarian techs and will consider students, musicians, stay-at-home mom's) and you can expect to earn $200-$500/week. Animal lovers are a must and pet care experience (dog walker/pet sitting experience,volunteering in a shelter, working for the ASPCA, working in a doggy day care/kennel or vet, etc.) is preferred. YOU MUST OWN pets now to be considered for this opportunity.
Responsibilities:
- Care of Client's pets in the manner requested by Client.
- Being responsible for a Client's pets, which may involve daily dog walking, vacation pet sitting and/or house sitting. Feeding pets, administering medications, and otherwise are an integral part of the daily routine of a pet sitter.
- Must be available at least two days per week to work pet care sits/walks from the am to the pm.
- Being extremely mindful and considerate of a Client's pet(s) and their stuff.
- Making sure a Client's door is locked and alarm engaged upon exiting home.
Requirements:
- Comfortable with dogs of all sizes and truly love animals of all kinds!
- Cold/Snow/Humidity/Rain Resistant.
- Must live within 15 minutes of designated servicing area.
- Clean Criminal Record
- US Citizenship
- Immediate Availability
- Excellent presentation and communication skills.
- Must have a cell phone.
- Must provide your own equipment if interested in walking dogs.
- You will be considered an independent contractor and will receive IRS form 1099 at year end.
- Must be able to legally work in the U.S.
- Must have prior experience with animals in a professional setting or a currently employed veterinary technician, please be as detailed as possible ie. volunteered at an animal shelter, vets office, doggy day care, other dog walking service, etc.
- Must be able to make a semi long-term commitment of at least 6 months.
- Must have working internet and a computer terminal at home.
- Must have good interpersonal communication skills.
